Products not appearing after sync

You synced your products but they're not showing up in Framer. Here's how to troubleshoot.

Check these first

1. Did the sync complete?

Make sure you saw the success message:

Synced 24 products, 5 categories

If sync failed or was interrupted, try again.

2. Are the right categories selected?

Products only sync if they're in a selected category.

  1. Open TGC plugin

  2. Go to Sync tab

  3. Check that the relevant categories are selected

  4. Re-sync if you need to add categories

3. Check the CMS collection

  1. In Framer, open the CMS panel (left sidebar)

  2. Click on TGC Products

  3. Are your products listed there?

If yes → products synced, issue is with your page/components.

If no → products didn't sync, check categories and try again.

Products in CMS but not on page

If products appear in the CMS but not on your page:

Component not bound to collection

  1. Select your Product card or grid

  2. In the right panel, check Content

  3. Should show "TGC Products" as the source

  4. If not, bind it to the collection

Filtering issue

  1. Check if you have filters active

  2. Clear filters and see if products appear

  3. Check CMS collection filters in Framer

CMS page not set up

For product detail pages:

  1. Make sure you have a CMS page connected to TGC Products

  2. The page template should show when viewing individual products

Products not syncing at all

Product not in any selected category

In Swell:

  1. Open the product

  2. Check which categories it belongs to

  3. Make sure at least one is selected in TGC

Product is draft/unpublished in Swell

TGC only syncs active/published products.

  1. In Swell, check the product status

  2. Make sure it's published/active

  3. Re-sync

Sync error for specific product

During sync, check for error messages:

Failed: Product XYZ - Invalid image URL

Fix the issue in Swell, then re-sync.

Debugging steps

  1. Open TGC plugin → Sync tab

  2. Note how many products it says will sync

  3. Click Sync and watch for errors

  4. After sync, check CMS collection count

  5. If count is lower than expected, check category selection

Framer has CMS item limits based on your plan:

If you hit the limit, not all products will sync. Upgrade your plan or sync fewer categories.
