Choose which Swell categories to sync to Framer. Only sync what you need to keep your project fast and organised.

How category selection works

When you connect your Swell store, TGC fetches all your categories. You choose which ones to sync:

• Selected categories are synced to Framer CMS

• Unselected categories are ignored

• Products in selected categories are included in the sync

Selecting categories

1. Open the TGC plugin in Framer

2. Go to the Sync tab

3. You'll see a tree of your Swell categories

4. Check the categories you want to sync

5. Click Sync selected

Category hierarchy

TGC supports two-level hierarchy (parent → children):

☐ Clothing            ← Parent
    ☐ Shirts          ← Child
    ☐ Pants           ← Child
    ☐ Accessories     ← Child
☐ Shoes               ← Parent
    ☐ Sneakers        ← Child
    ☐ Boots           ← Child
☐ Sale                ← Top-level (no children)

Selection rules:

• Checking a parent automatically checks all children

• Unchecking a parent unchecks all children

• You can check individual children without the parent

Product counts

The selection UI shows how many products will sync:

☑ Clothing (45 products)
    ☑ Shirts (18)
    ☑ Pants (15)
    ☐ Accessories (12)

Products in multiple categories are only counted once.

Best practices

Changing your selection

You can change which categories are synced at any time:

1. Open the TGC plugin

2. Adjust your category checkboxes

3. Click Sync selected

Adding categories: New products appear in your CMS.

Removing categories: Products unique to that category are removed from CMS.
