About this policy

This policy explains how Nice Humans Bad Robots Pty Ltd (ABN 90692632876), trading as The Good Commerce ("TGC", "we", "us"), handles information when you use our Framer plugin and website. We are based in Victoria, Australia.

What we collect

When you purchase TGC, Stripe collects your payment information (name, email, card details) on our behalf. We do not store your payment details directly.

When you use the plugin, the following information is stored locally in your Framer project:

• Your Swell Store ID

• Your Swell public API key

• Your TGC access key

This data stays in your Framer project and is not sent to us.

When you use the plugin to sync products, product data is fetched from Swell's API and written to your Framer project's CMS. This data flows directly between Swell and Framer — we do not store it on our servers.

Cart data

On published sites using TGC components, cart data is stored in your visitor's browser using localStorage. This data remains on the visitor's device and is not sent to us. Cart data is cleared when the visitor clears their browser data.

Checkout

When a visitor clicks checkout, they are redirected to Swell's hosted checkout. All payment processing, order management, and customer data is handled by Swell under their privacy policy. We do not receive or store any customer payment information.

Access key validation

When you activate your access key, the plugin sends your key and Swell Store ID to our validation service to verify your purchase. We store the association between your key and your store for licensing purposes. No other data is collected during this process.

Analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our site. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymous usage data such as pages visited and time on site. This data is processed by Google under their privacy policy. The plugin itself does not use cookies or tracking.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies only for Google Analytics. The plugin does not set any cookies. Published sites built with TGC components use localStorage for cart functionality only — no cookies are set by TGC.

We use the following third-party services:

Swell — ecommerce platform (swell.is/privacy)
Framer — design platform (framer.com/privacy)

Data retention

Access key records are retained for as long as your licence is active. If you request a refund and your key is deactivated, we may retain the record for our business records.

Stripe retains payment records according to their own retention policy.

If you are in Australia, you have rights under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. If you believe we have breached your privacy, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

Children

TGC is a professional tool intended for use by adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify users through the plugin or via email. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version.
